  • Top Seven Reasons Why You Can't Get Rid Of Belly Fat.

    belly fat

There may indeed be at least seven of them, or even more. However, you need to try to get rid of belly fat in the first place. It's not just about aesthetics: insulin resistance and diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and early death - the probability of everything increases in proportion to the volume of the waist.

    1. You are getting older

Over the years, as you know, the metabolism changes: the body is more difficult to burn and easier to store energy. The peak of this problem occurs during menopause when the level of estrogen and progesterone drops.

In this sense, of course, there is no need to skimp on replacement therapy. Men's testosterone levels also drop, just more slowly. And it can also be corrected, at least partially, with the help of the same physical activities.

    2. You have hormonal disorders

Endocrine changes can occur at any age and for a variety of reasons. For example, women with polycystic ovaries may have increased testosterone, and this makes it difficult to lose weight, even if you eat right.

Here it is impossible to do without the help of a doctor, and not a nutritionist, but an endocrinologist. It is important to understand that even overeating is not promiscuity, it is often not only psychological but also basic physiological disorders.

In his lectures, Robert Lustig often cites the example of children who immediately gained weight after brain injuries or, conversely, returned to normal form after restoring the normal functioning of the hypothalamic-pituitary system and all its subordinate endocrine glands.

    3. You eat too much processed food

Refined flour, as in white bread, crackers, chips, sugar and sweet drinks, desserts - all this stimulates inflammation. And visceral fat is associated with inflammation, so this kind of food makes it difficult to fight the stomach. Well, in general, it is not difficult to guess that any carbohydrates quickly turn into visceral fat if you eat too much. The more you eat fresh and whole foods, the more effort your body makes to extract nutrients from them. The more food is industrially processed, the faster the blood sugar level rises, and from this, as we know, all the problems begin.

    4. You don't sleep enough

About a third of Americans sleep less than six hours. It is likely that the obesity epidemic is at least partly explained by this. The study, which lasted 16 years, found that those who slept five hours or less were 30 percent more likely to gain weight than those who slept more than 7 hours.

And this weight, first of all, is collected on the stomach. It is also known that those who work night shifts or daily are more likely to be overweight. The fact is that the hormones that control sleep and wakefulness are also closely related to feelings of hunger and satiety. So a full sleep is the key to slimness.

    5. You are not lucky with genetics

Whether you accumulate fat on your thighs and shoulders or on your stomach depends on your heredity. At the same time, subcutaneous fat that accumulates in the hands and feet is completely harmless to health, but visceral fat can be deadly.

    6. You train incorrectly

Running or cycling, as well as group cycling classes, are very good for the heart, but by themselves, cardio exercises have little effect on waist size. You always need to combine strength and cardio training to remove the belly, because strength increases muscle mass, which is just necessary in order to burn fat more effectively. Just because muscle tissue spends a lot of energy helping to burn extra fat, it makes sense to build it up.

    7. No habits and self-control

Losing weight is a habit, just like everything else in life. As soon as you instill healthy habits and break harmful stereotypes, weight loss seems to happen by itself. The transition period is the most difficult to handle. It must be understood that habits are automatisms that are deposited at the level of nerve arches.

Simply put, you need to change your habits. And this process is not easy. However, there is nothing impossible about it. And it will be easier to do this if you understand that it is difficult only at the beginning.

If you loved sweets but decided to give them up, know that the first day will be a thousand times harder than the tenth. Moreover, even if you fell off and again swallowed carbohydrates – this is not a reason to give up. The more attempts, the more chances that the next attempt will be more successful than the previous one.

Actually, this applies not only to food, but also to fitness, alcohol, smoking, and anything else. There is no ideal. There are no tasks that you have managed or not - there is only a process, and it goes on until you have abandoned it. And this process is useful, even if it is uneven.

The easiest and most convenient way to find out if you have ketosis or not is to use a urine or a blood test. The blood test will not only show the presence of ketosis but also the level of keto bodies.

The urine test is less accurate, but cheaper and will show whether you have reached ketosis or not in pink or pale purple. But if you see a darker color, it may mean that the body is dehydrated and ketone
