Some people feel so bad during weight loss that they fall back into their old habits. Is this psychological discomfort in response to the reduction in tasty food junk in the diet? Or is there a physiological basis for this?

Today, of all the factors involved, we will single out a special one. And we'll tell you how to reduce its influence so that you don't give up your transformation. As you already understood, we will talk about fat-soluble toxins.

How fat saves you from toxins

Fat-soluble toxins are rarely given adequate attention. However, they are to blame for the negative symptoms that occur during weight loss.

Fat-soluble toxins are toxic substances stored in fats. When they enter the body, some of them settle in the tissues rich in fat.

In people with excess weight, the lion's share is taken by the reserves of visceral and subcutaneous fat.

Therefore, compared to thin people, they are better protected. For in the more slender H. Sapiens, these toxins are stored in vital fat organs. This is the nervous system and bone marrow.

Therefore, against the background of an unfavorable environmental situation, it is not so safe to be TOO thin.

How fat-soluble toxins poison the body

In normal, well-fed life, toxins gradually accumulate in fat reserves and do not cause obvious problems. The fatter a person is, the better protected they are from their direct action. But, sooner or later, you will have to lose weight. This is where the “fun " begins.

During weight loss, adipose tissue “opens up". Along with fat reserves, fat-soluble toxins also come out. Their concentration increases sharply in the blood, causing complete intoxication.

According to research (see the list of scientific references below), even fatal outcomes are possible. However, this happened with VERY RAPID weight loss in older people. Their bodies were obviously already weakened. Therefore, they could not bear the additional load of toxins.

The further you go on the path of weight loss, the more urgent this problem becomes. Because the weight goes away faster than the toxins are neutralized. Therefore, I recommend that you take your time and reduce your weight gradually.

Fortunately, the effects of toxins can be reduced. And the type of food that a person chooses to lose weight affects very much. Before we talk about what nutrition should be for relieving toxicity during weight loss, we need to learn a little about toxins themselves. And how they manifest themselves.

    How intoxication manifests itself

The whole body suffers! But which organ of the body takes the brunt??

    1. The liver as the main detoxification organ. It neutralizes toxins at the cost of its health, being damaged during this process. And this is normal - the liver is a rare organ capable of complete recovery.

The detoxification process can be accompanied by pain and heaviness in the right hypochondrium. This is confirmed by blood tests when we see an increase in liver enzymes in them. The biliary system is also involved because metabolites of waste toxins are excreted with bile.

The lymphatic system and white blood cells are the main protectors against foreign substances. It reacts by compacting the lymph nodes. They can become inflamed.

Exacerbation of chronic infections such as tonsillitis can also indicate that the lymphatic tissue “deals” with toxins locally.

    2. Intestines. Many toxins leave the body through the intestinal wall, causing its irritation. This is manifested by pain, spasms, loose stools, or constipation. The presence of bad breath indicates the state of the intestines.

The worse the smell, the more deplorable the state of the digestive system.

    3. Heart and blood vessels. Many of the toxins are toxic to the heart. Therefore, tachycardia occurs, and in high doses, the rhythm is disturbed. And there may even be a spasm of the coronary arteries. And blood vessels often react with increased pressure.

    4. Nervous system. Most toxins are neurotoxic. Therefore, when they enter the brain, they damage neurons. Most often, the irritated brain reacts with a headache, dizziness. A bad mood is the most harmless symptom.

Performance may also decrease and brain fog may occur. And in extreme cases, consciousness is suppressed so much that a person is not able to collect his thoughts. At these moments, drowsiness occurs. And this is correct because only in the state of sleep is the brain cleared.

    5. Skin as an additional organ of detoxification. Many toxins will be flushed out through the skin. This will show up with rashes, pimples, flaking, and other skin symptoms. In this sense, the condition of the skin reflects the condition of the intestines.

    6. Feelings of nausea and vomiting cannot be attributed to any one system. Both the brain and the intestines with the stomach and a high concentration of the toxin in the blood are involved.

    7. Lungs and kidneys are less involved as they specialize in water-soluble toxins

Maybe it's better not to lose weight?

If these toxins are causing such havoc in the body, isn't it better to leave them alone? Let them stay in fat and be silent. But the problem is that they are not silent there. Being in the reserves of fat, they still disrupt the metabolism.

What conditions can be associated with fat-soluble toxins:
    • Overweight and obesity. Many of the toxins stimulate fat cells to multiply and accumulate fat. This explains why it is difficult for many people to lose weight, even carefully counting calories.
    • Insulin resistance, diabetes, metabolic syndrome. Since toxins inhibit the normal metabolism of carbohydrates. This explains why many people's insulin sensitivity recovers later than the main weight loss occurs.
    • Gout. It is also implicated in the disruption of purine metabolism.
    • Defects and diseases of newborns. Mothers who carry a mountain of excess weight share toxins with the fetus. And after birth, toxins get into breast milk, as it is produced from fat reserves.
    • Other effects not yet known to us.

As you can see, you still have to get rid of toxins. And also change your lifestyle to minimize their intake into the body.

What are fat-soluble toxins and where do they come from?

They are inevitably formed during industrial processes. For example, during waste incineration. In the production of heavy metals. During bleaching of paper pulp.

In the process of oil refining. During incineration of waste. Every industry seems to have its own toxins. Of course, there are more of them in heavy industries.

They are also herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides. These toxins act on living things. They protect precious wheat fields from insects, bacteria, and fungi.

Mercury, lead, arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, tin, nickel, and other heavy metals. They can also be conditionally attributed to this category. For they also gravitate to fatty tissues, except for hair, bones, and glands.

Vegetable oils that are mostly toxic to humans. They can also accumulate in the body and gradually break down to form toxic metabolites. For example, it is widely known that people who eat a lot of vegetable oils burn more in the sun.

The list is impressive! Yes, all this stuff accumulates in the body. Among fat-soluble toxins, so-called persistent organic pollutants (POPS) can be distinguished.

They include 13 substances, including dioxin, DDT, organophosphates, and many others. They were massively used in various fields in the 20th century. Including in agriculture to protect crops.

Only decades later, The Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants was signed in 2001.

That is, these poisons first began to be used in industry, and the harmful effects were noticed after a considerable time. Therefore, during their use, they have accumulated around so much that contact with them is inevitable. Besides, it suggests an interesting idea.

How many other modern technical substances have the same destructive properties, but are not yet banned from use?

Click image for larger version Name:	bb11.jpg Views:	0 Size:	93.4 KB ID:	1323

How fat-soluble toxins get into the body

The environment is literally littered with them. Therefore, contact with them is inevitable.

Fat-soluble toxins enter the human body with water, air, food, medicines, cosmetics. They accumulate in the soil, the world's oceans, and travel with air masses.

They are absorbed by plants. They are perfectly stored in dense plant matter. However, the animals we eat can also store them. But unlike plants, they at least have detoxification organs.

Therefore, some of the toxins that got into the animal are neutralized. But, the more unfavorable the conditions in which the animal lived, the more toxic it is.

The process of accumulating toxins in animals and humans is called bioaccumulation.

How to reduce toxicity during weight loss

Let's immediately put aside all sorts of detox programs based on vegetable juices and fiber. They can help you lose a couple hundred dollars, but they won't have any effect on removing fat-soluble toxins.

The body itself, as always, will do the main work in relation to the processing of toxins. And your task is to create conditions for this. In particular, you need to provide the body with all the necessary nutrients that will be depleted during detoxification.

    Starting fat burning

Toxins cannot be extracted from fat cells unless the body mobilizes fat stores. The simplest action that allows you to turn on fat burning is to reduce insulin.

In the context of our article, this is even more important than counting calories, since insulin is reduced by reducing carbohydrates in the diet in the first place. So, first of all, reduce dramatically the number of carbohydrates in your diet.

Pulling fat-soluble toxins out of the body

OK, the weight started to drop, and the poisons were released into the blood. We need to be prepared in advance to meet and remove from the body as soon as possible. These toxins are attracted to fats. Therefore, special importance in the context of the article is given to fats in the diet.

To relieve the liver and heart, you need to remove as many toxins as possible from the blood to the intestines.

This can only be done in the presence of a sufficient amount of fat in the diet. Therefore, you can not lose weight on low-fat diets! To get rid of these poisons faster and with less discomfort, you need not only to reduce carbohydrates in the diet but also to keep the fat level high. Especially of animal origin.

    Why this is important:

Animal fats attract toxins through the wall of the gastrointestinal tract and the lymphatic system. Once in the intestines, a significant part of the poisons will be excreted in the feces. In extreme cases, there is a liquid stool, as an accelerated measure of intestinal cleansing.

Animal fats are stronger than others to stimulate the production of the bile. This will allow the liver and gallbladder not to choke on a load of toxins.

An adequate amount of animal fat will help the hepatobiliary system to clean steadily. Besides, the bile itself has detoxifying properties, so it will neutralize toxins in the intestinal lumen.

More fat in the diet – fewer toxins in the blood. And fewer toxins in the blood – better health on the background of weight loss.

It is also important to have enough minerals in your food. In this respect, the internal organs of animals, such as the liver, benefit. This also includes butter and cheese.

    Special instructions

If you make an unusually fat meal, then nausea occurs. One possible explanation is the following.

A large amount of fat will remain in the stomach which will cause a proportional amount of toxins to leak into the stomach. Hence there is a natural feeling of nausea. You can, of course, induce vomiting, but this is not very practical.

If the nausea is unbearable, you can use:
    • Raw, unsalted cheese. This is a pure accumulation of fat and calcium that will bind to poisons in the stomach. If this cheese is pre-dried, it will become even stronger. 30-50 g if severe nausea occurs. The higher the salt content of the cheese and the softer it is, the weaker it is.
    • Activated charcoal (activated carbon). White charcoal is better than black. Dose according to the instructions.

What else can you do to help your body?

Physical activity raises body temperature, speeding up all processes. This will allow you to process more toxins and remove them more to the surface of the body through the skin. A similar effect has a bath and a sauna. But I wouldn't put much hope in them.

Replenishment of antioxidants. During detoxification, a lot of resources are spent, especially in the liver. One of these resources is the antioxidant glutathione, which is involved in the detoxification of almost all poisons and even heavy metals. Normally, it is synthesized from the amino acid cysteine.

But during the active phase of the fight against toxins, it may not be enough. Therefore, I recommend not to neglect animal protein. And, especially, don't ignore the organs. For example, pork, beef liver contains glutathione and cysteine itself!

Other examples of additives include the following:

Fish oil, cod liver oil, or pure omega-3 fatty acids. They reduce the overall level of inflammation. They are found in large quantities in marine fish. Especially red and wild.

Lipoic acid can be isolated from strong natural antioxidants. It is involved in mitochondrial fat oxidation and antioxidant protection of the body. It is synthesized in the body and is found in large quantities in animal food, mainly in meat.

Remember that you don't have to buy all of these supplements! You can get them with a quality diet if you think it through well.

There are three main groups of fats (fatty acids) that we eat:
      • Polyunsaturated fats. Mostly found in plants. For example, sunflower or corn oil
      • Monounsaturated fats. There are a lot of them in olive oil and avocado oil. But animal fat is also rich in them
      • Saturated Fats. They are mainly of animal origin - beef and pork fat, butter, eggs. From plants — only coconuts.

Idle talk about the keto diet is often reduced to discussing such effects on the body as a surge of energy, concentration, weight loss, fighting inflammation and chronic diseases. Ketone bodies are produced in a healthy person on a normal diet in small quantities, and then excreted in the urine and exhaled air.

Ketone bodies increase, as we know, in conditions of prolonged starvation or a deficiency of carbohydrates in the diet (the ketone diet and other low-carb diets
